Henrico, other localities lift voluntary water conservation measures

Henrico County and five other Metro Richmond localities have lifted their voluntary water conservation measures after just more than a month, following recent rain storms.

The decision was based upon current flows in the James River being above conservation triggers, according to regional officials.

Henrico had joined Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover and Powhatan counties and the City of Richmond in calling for voluntary conservation efforts beginning July 1. All of those localities now have lifted the efforts.
