West End Presbyterian Church

West End Presbyterian Church, 9008 Quioccasin Road, will hold its Last Wednesdays potluck dinner from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 30. The congregation also lists a senior potluck lunch Oct. 4 and a Simple English Bible Study beginning Oct. 11.

River Road Church, Baptist

River Road Church, Baptist, 8000 River Road, will package more than 10,000 meals for distribution through the Rise Against Hunger network Saturday, Oct. 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The church is seeking 80 volunteers for meal packaging and another eight to 10 for setup. Children ages 4 and older may participate, and teens may earn community-service hours.
