GRTC temporarily offering Uber ride vouchers

GRTC is temporarily offering Uber ride vouchers through its Trip Voucher Program, as a way to help travelers who have been impacted by GRTC's recent temporary service adjustments.

Those adjustments began Feb. 22 to improve service reliability, reduce last-minute cancellations and account for the agency's driver shortage. The updates aligned scheduled service with available operators so trips that are scheduled are trips that run.

To qualify for an Uber voucher, riders must be traveling for work, medical appointments, or education. The vouchers are only valid during certain times, which vary by route. Both the starting point and destination must be at bus stops on the same route.

The Trip Voucher Program will be adjusted as additional bus trips are added, according to GRTC

To request a voucher, click here.

Then, once you have been granted a voucher:

• download the Uber app and create an account, if you don't already have one;

• book your ride in the Uber app or by calling 1-833-USE-UBER.
