Construction to affect commuters in Raintree, on Wistar Road April 14

Motorists in the Raintree subdivision in Henrico's West End can expect delays at Raintree Drive and Falconbridge Drive beginning 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 14 for the construction of a roundabout.

Though the intersection will be open during construction, motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes until work is complete. Construction is expected to take until late afternoon. Suggested detours include Pepperhill Lane and Pump Road. Residents will notice additional work through the week with minimal impact to traffic.

Separately, the northbound lane of Wistar Road will close between Shrader and Staples Mill roads April 14 at 7 p.m. for utility work. The road is expected to reopen before morning commuter traffic on Wednesday, April 15. A detour will use Shrader, Hungary Spring Road, Parham Road and Staples Mill.
