Google and ChamberRVA will host a free, in-person workshop to help Richmond’s small business owners harness the power of artificial intelligence (AI) to grow and streamline their operations. The workshop, titled “Make AI Work for You,” will offer hands-on coaching from digital experts and cover topics such as writing effective prompts, generating new business ideas, and automating repetitive tasks using Google’s suite of AI tools. Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan (VA-04) and State Senator Lamont Bagby (District 9) will offer opening remarks. Virginia Credit Union will donate $100,000 during the next three years to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond. The donation will support the clubs' Life & Career Pathways initiative, which provides young people with real-world career exposure, durable job skills, enriching summer programs, and confidence-building mentorship opportunities. VACU has previously supported the Boys and Girls Clubs, including a $25,000 donation in 2023 and participation last year in the organization's "Unlocking Success" program, a five-week course designed to help teens learn money management basics and sharpen their job-readiness skills.
