Off-price retailer TJ Maxx will open a new store at The Creeks at Virginia Center in Glen Allen Aug. 10. The store, located at 9850 Brook Road, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. seven days a week (hours on opening day will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). TJ Maxx operates more than 1,300 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico. The company's buyers work with thousands of brands and designers from around the world to source pieces at lower prices. In celebration of its new Glen Allen location, TJ Maxx will contribute to the local community by donating $10,000 to Virginia Home for Boys & Girls. The new store also will join all other stores nationwide in sponsoring Save the Children’s U.S. Programs through TJ Maxx’s annual in-store fundraising campaign.
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls recently opened its second Richmond-area location July 25, bringing its authentic New England-style lobster rolls to The Shoppes at Westgate at 11761-A West Broad Street, across from Short Pump Town Center. The restaurant offers both classic Maine and Connecticut styles along with lobster BLT and lobster salad rolls. Each roll is prepared with traditional recipes. Other menu items include shrimp salad, crab roll, New England clam chowder, lobster bisque, and lobster mac and cheese. Lisa Stroud, Kevin Stroud and Kevin Stroud Jr. opened the Richmond area’s first Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls last September and also operate a Mason’s food truck trailer that travels around the Richmond area. The new Mason’s location will serve the community from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Broughton Law Firm, PLLC, dba Broughton Injury Law, recently leased 3,040 SF of space at 1602 Rolling Hills Drive in Henrico County from landlord, Forest Office Park Investor, LLC. John Jay Schwartz of Have Site Will Travel, Ltd represented the tenant.
Colliers International recently announced the following lease transactions in Henrico County: Little Caesars Pizza – leased 1,365 SF at 939 West Broad Street (Harrison Hall and Peter Vick represented the tenant); Motorola Solutions, Inc. – leased 3,938 SF at 1061 Technology Park Drive (Malcolm Randolph, John Carpin, Catherine Walker and Jimmy Martin represented the landlord).
VRPRE, LLC recently purchased a ±1.1 acre site at 4000 Mechanicsville Turnpike in Henrico County from Springdale Park Outparcels, LLC for $555,000. Peter Vick and Harrison Hall of Colliers International represented the seller in the transaction.
