Henrico Police officials have arrested a woman and are looking for a man and woman in connection with the June 2025 death of a toddler. All three face criminal indictments in connection with the death of the three-year-old girl, who was found unconscious and not breathing June 3 in the 5400 block of Williamsburg Road. She was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.

Forty-one year-old Tomeka Nichole Burton of Henrico was taken into custody Jan. 12, following a grand jury hearing at which the indictments were issued.

She and 42-year-old Harvey Joe Turner, III of Henrico each face charges of felony murder, two charges of child abuse, two charges of child endangerment, and possession of a schedule I or II drug. Turner is wanted by police.

Nineteen-year-old Jomaya Ciara Hunt of Henrico was indicted on two counts of child abuse related to the child's death and also is wanted by police.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Turner or Hunt should call police at (804) 501-5000.

Detectives within the agency's Criminal Investigations Section have worked with several agencies during the past six months to investigate the case, which was ruled a homicide in September by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner because of the drug toxicity levels in her body.

Anyone with additional information about the toddler's death should contact Henrico Police Det. J. Lozak at (804) 501-5588 or submit tips anonymously via Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000 or by using P3tips.com.
