Western Henrico Rotary Club collects coats and outerwear for charity

Members of the Western Henrico Rotary worked from May through August to collect coats and other new and slightly worn outerwear items for those in need.
Led by club member Jerry Suyes, WHRC members rounded up a total of 343 men’s and 293 women's coats (many new), in addition to 350 jackets, 354 sweaters, 44 scarves, 135 mostly-new stocking hats and 106 mostly-new pairs of gloves. This week, all 1,625 items will be distributed to social services departments in Goochland, Hopewell, Caroline and Middlesex counties.
