The Henrico Planning Commission is scheduled to review several development proposals at its Dec. 11 meeting:
• In Eastern Henrico, a developer is planning a 103-home neighborhood, tentatively named “Steeple Lane,” on North Laburnum Avenue, south of its intersection with Kingsridge Parkway. This proposal has been deferred twice from October to
Westford Glen, a proposed residential complex of 370 townhouses and single-family homes in western Henrico, will not see the light of day after the Henrico Board of Supervisors unanimously rejected the plan Dec. 2.
Along with many other rezoning cases this year, the Westford Glen proposal sparked community debate about
Henrico County and the nonprofit Capital Region Land Conservancy have joined forces to acquire and preserve 6.4 acres of wooded property for expanded public access adjacent to Roslyn Hills Park, near Ziontown and Ridge roads.
