Meadow Farm Museum at Crump Park, 3400 Mountain Road, will host a Movie in the Park at 7 p.m. on Friday, April 3. Bring a blanket or chair. Picnics are welcome. Lakeside Farmers' Market's annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. All eggs will be hidden outdoors. Baskets will be provided if needed; return baskets and empty eggs when finished. Bags are available to take home treats. The hunt is free to attend for all ages. Click here for details.
Henrico Recreation and Parks will present "Henrico in 3D: Images of Varina, 1864-1865" at the Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road, on Saturday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Have you ever seen a 160-year-old photograph in three dimensions? There were many images taken of sites around Varina during the Civil War such as Fort Harrison, Cox’s Landing and Varina Farm. Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and singer Kevin Burt and his band Big Medicine will perform Saturday, April 4 at 7 p.m. at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen. An Iowa native and Iowa Blues Hall-of-Famer, Burt's soul-inspired presentation is unique and personal, consistently drawing comparisons to the likes of greats such as Bill Withers, Aaron Neville and B.B. Three Lakes Park, 400 Sausiluta Drive, will host an egg hunt on Sunday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Stop by the Nature Center for a scavenger hunt to discover which animals lay eggs and which ones do not. For ages three and older. Participation is free. Email boy047@henrico.gov for details.
