Franklin is founder and CEO of The Conservateur, frequent guest on Fox News, and host of the Sincerely American podcast. Drawing on her experience in media, the Trump White House and national politics, Franklin examines how institutions, modern feminism and media have reshaped womanhood, masculinity and faith. Her timely talk on the growing political and cultural divide shaping Gen Z will challenge the audience to confront the gender gap honestly in order to rebuild a healthy culture and future. The University of Richmond's Modlin Center for the Arts will present the University Dancers' 41st Annual Concert on Feb. 27-28 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 2 p.m. University Dancers celebrates 41 years of engaging dance with their annual concert that brings to the University of Richmond the work of innovative guest artists: Ephrat Asherie, Nicolo Fonte and Trey McIntyre. The concert will also feature new works choreographed by Department of Theatre & Dance faculty Angelica Burgos, Deandra Clarke, Eric Rivera and Anne Van Gelder, as well as adjudicated student choreography. Emmy-winning comedian and actress Dulcé Sloan will perform at The Tin Pan on Friday, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. Known for her seven-year stint on "The Daily Show" with Trevor Noah, Sloan also can be seen in the FOX animated show "Great North" and as one of 10 comedians featured on Netflix's "Verified" stand-up series. Celebrate Purim with a community–wide festival at the Weinstein JCC on Sunday, March 1 from noon to 3 p.m. The event will feature live music, carnival games and other family-friendly activities. This year’s theme, Purim Around the World, will bring a global flavor to the celebration with crafts, performances and experiences inspired by Jewish communities worldwide.
