The Christmas at the Inn arts and crafts show returns to the Virginia Cliffe Inn, 2900 Mountain Road in Glen Allen, Nov. 28-30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Enjoy the festive decorations, savor the seasonal scents and mingle with crafters and the Clifton Family while shopping for handmade treasures throughout the house. Additional vendors will be in the enclosed heated pavilion and tent. Food options are available too. Many crafters take orders for personalized items and will deliver them to the Virginia Cliffe Inn. Each visitor will receive a complimentary shopping bag upon arrival. A central cashier will assist with purchases; cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. Christmas at The Inn, formally Christmas at Granny’s Craft Show, is a Glen Allen tradition that started in the 1980s. Tickets are $6 online or $5 at the door. The Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will take place from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 28-30. This annual holiday tradition featuring millions of lights was voted one of the Best Botanical Garden Holiday Lights in the U.S. by USA Today in 2023 and 2024. There will be model trains in the Kelly Education Center, a warming fire in the Cochrane Rose Garden, homemade natural wood trees built by volunteers and a fairy village in the Lora M. Robins Library, and other exhibits. Hot chocolate, s'mores and other beverages and treats will be available for purchase. This year's theme is "The Elements.” Advance tickets are required and available online only. Tickets are $12 to $22 for nonmembers and $8 to $12 for Garden members. Actor and comedian David Koechner will perform at the Richmond Funny Bone in Short Pump at 7 p.m. Nov. 28 and at 6:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. Nov. 29. In addition to Saturday Night Live and The Office, Koechner has appeared in such films as Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Waiting, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Paul and more. Tickets are $32 to $37. Alt-country group The Jared Stout Band will perform at The Tin Pan on Friday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. Based out of southwestern Virginia, the band is fresh off the release of their second studio album, "Heavy From the Sky." The band was a runner-up for the coveted "On-The-Rise" award at FloydFest 22. Their sound is a blend of "Appalachian rhythms with bluesy undertones." Tickets are $32.37. Puppets Off Broad Street is teaming up with CSZ Richmond Theater to present Barefoot Puppet Theatre's "Little Red & the Gingerbread Man" on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 11 a.m. This show combines two well-loved, classic tales to create an original, fun-filled romp through fairy tales. Join Little Red as she pursues a mischievous gingerbread cookie through the woods to Grandma’s house. It features original music, snowy scenery, and everyone’s favorite Big Bad Wolf. Recommended for ages three and older. Tickets are $9 and can be purchased here.
