The Taters will perform a Halloween show at the Henrico Theatre on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. This year’s Halloween show features dancers from the Henrico Theatre Company and includes favorite Halloween songs throughout the years as well as selections from their album, "Don’t Scream! Dorey Park Farmers Market will celebrate the final market day of the season with a Community Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to noon. Items for sale include locally-grown produce, fresh flowers, honey, eggs, baked goods, jams/jellies, handcrafted items, and more. In addition to vendors, there will be hayrides, the Teeny Tiny Farm Petting Zoo, a pumpkin patch, face painting, games, live music, and other activities. Costumes are encouraged. Admission is free. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden will host its annual HarvestFest event on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. See the changing colors of the garden while enjoying activities such as pumpkin painting, petal pounding, a tractor-themed storytime, a botanical relief print demonstration by Dana Dumont, crafts from SCRAP RVA, and more. Ban Caribe will be performing live from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fall comfort foods will be available for purchase. All activities are included in Garden admission, which is $10 to $20. Rain or shine. The Soul Shakers, an all-star collection of Richmond music veterans led by drummer/vocalist Chris Mendez of The Taters, will perform at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Sunday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. The group plays a mix of classic R&B, southern soul and Motown. They cover a wide range of classic artists such as Otis Redding, Delbert McClinton, Van Morrison, Wilson Pickett, the Bamboos, and many more. The performance will take place on CACGA’s Center Field outdoor stage. Seating is general admission; bring a lawn chair or blanket. Tickets are $25.
