The Henrico Theatre Company will present "Moon Over Buffalo" by Ken Ludwig at The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen at 7 p.m. Sept. 26-27 and at 3 p.m. Sept. 28. Set in the summer of 1953, George and Charlotte Hay, failed Broadway stars, attempt to regain their former glory in Buffalo, New York. Join this charming husband-and-wife acting duo as they navigate the challenges of performing both Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives in repertory. The stage is set for a hilarious blend of theatrical mishaps, family drama, and the unexpected arrival of a Hollywood director. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students. St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Road in Henrico, will hold its Fall Children’s Consignment Sale on Saturday, Sept. 27. The sale will take place from 8 a.m. to noon and then reopen with items half-off from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. There will be clothing and shoes, toys, books, baby gear and more for sale. Cash or check is preferred, but credit cards are accepted. Proceeds benefit mission programs in local schools and the community, including the church’s Kidz Kupboard program, which provides weekend meals to elementary and middle school students in need. Reynolds Community College will host Hawk Fest at its Parham Road Campus on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The family-friendly festival will include inflatables, games, face painting, balloon art, live music, food trucks, appearances by Reynolds' mascot Sarge the Red Hawk, and more. In addition, there will be a "Truck and Learn" discovery area featuring hands-on exploration of community vehicles and interactive showcases by Reynolds faculty and staff highlighting key programs at the college. Henrico Recreation and Parks will host Jazz in the Park on Sunday, Sept. 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Deep Run Park. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the park with a live smooth jazz performance by Trin Cunningham featuring The Nucleus Trio and Nathan Fussell. Cunningham is a Richmond native who performs a multitude of genres, including Jazz, R&B, Pop, Neosoul, Alternative and Christian music. She was jazz and classically trained at Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology and later studied classical and jazz voice at the University of the Arts. The One Voice Chorus Chorale, The Sunslingers and Epiphany choirs and ensembles will present "First Light: New Songs of Praise" on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1400 Horsepen Road.
