The Henrico Theatre, 305 East Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs, will show two movies this weekend: School of Rock (2003, PG-13) at 7 p.m. Aug. 22-23 and Minions (2015, PG) at 3 p.m. Aug. 23-24. The Showmasters Richmond Gun Show will take place at the Richmond Raceway Complex from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 23 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 24. There will be 800 tables selling a diverse range of handguns, rifles, shotguns and antique pistols, as well as ammunition, holsters, safes, carbines, swords, knives, early Indian and Western Americana, militaria of all wars, coins, and more. Concealed carry classes will be offered too. Admission for adults is $11 cash or $12 via credit card. A Swiftie Drag Brunch will take place at the Richmond Funny Bone in Short Pump on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. Celebrate Taylor Swift and all her iconic eras. Swiftie costumes, shirts and friendship bracelets are suggested. Tickets are $27 to $42. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. This event is for ages 21 and older. Henrico Recreation and Parks will host Divine Nine Night on Sunday, Aug. 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Virginia Randolph Recreation Area, 2175 Mountain Road. The Divine Nine represents nine historically Black Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities that are part of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. These organizations have long lead in service, scholarship and unity in their communities. This event will have various activities, including bounce houses for kids to enjoy, food trucks, and a showcase featuring local chapters. Admission is free.
