North Carolina based Nu-Blu will perform at the Henrico Theatre on Friday, Aug. 15 at 7 p.m. Nu-Blu formed in September 2003 and consists of husband-and-wife duo Daniel Routh (multi-instrumentalist, vocals) and Carolyn Routh (vocals), Austin Hefflefinger (banjo, guitar, vocals), and Justin Harrison (mandolin, fiddle, percussion). River Road Church, Baptist will host Sounds Like Summer, a free community concert, on Friday, Aug. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Versatile Virginia-based musicians The KOS Band will perform. They play beach music, Motown favorites, swing and popular songs from the 70s through today. Food trucks, Lil Mike's Kitchen and jiji frozen custard, will be on site. The 2025 ComedySportz Sweet Tea Tournament will take place Aug. 15 at 7:30 p.m. and Aug. 16 at 7 p.m. at the CSz Richmond Theater, 8906-H West Broad Street. ComedySportz is a high-energy, fast-paced comedy match between two teams of improvisers who go head-to-head in a series of games, scenes and songs — all made up on the spot using audience suggestions. The Richmond Makers Market returns to The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen on Saturday, Aug. 16 from noon to 5 p.m. Meet a curated selection of local artists and makers while shopping for unique handmade goods. Matt Willard will perform at The Tin Pan on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. The 26-year-old saxman will perform hits from his debut album "Soul Assassin," including the title track, "Nightcrawler" and "Electric Shock." His influences include Dave Koz, Boney James, and Richard Elliot, Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, and Prince.
