Henrico Schools to close April 21 for special redistricting election; March 19 to become full instructional day
Henrico County public schools will be closed on Tuesday, April 21, as the result of a special redistricting election scheduled that day that will require the use of several dozen schools. In order to make up the time, the school system will convert March 19 (previously planned as a half-day)

Space heater blamed in fire that killed Henrico man, injured child
Authorities have released the name of the 69-year-old man who died nearly three weeks after being injured in a house fire in eastern Henrico County. The fire happened around noon on Thursday, Feb. 12, at a home in the 8900 block of Strath Road, just off Kingsland Road, in Varina.
