Sewer extension project closing Henrico's Francis, Greenwood roads in phases beginning Feb. 23

Portions of Francis and Greenwood roads in Glen Allen will be closed temporarily beginning Feb. 23 through and extending through March for a sewer extension project.

The closures will occur in phases and be in effect between 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. The work primarily will take place on weekdays but also may take place on some Saturdays depending upon condition and progress.

Francis between Mountain Road and Greenwood closed Monday, Feb. 23 for phase one of the project. The road will be closed during construction hours for approximately 10 days. A detour is using Francis, Mountain and Greenwood.

In phase two, the intersection of Francis and Greenwood will close during construction hours beginning in early March for approximately five days. A detour will use Greenwood, Woodman Road and Mountain.

In phase three, Greenwood will close during construction hours beginning in mid-March for approximately 15 days. A detour will use Greenwood, Woodman and Mountain.
