Sept. 24 community meeting to address safety near site of fatal Three Chopt Road crash

Henrico County officials, including Tuckahoe District Supervisor Jody Rogish and Three Chopt District Supervisor Misty Roundtree, will host a community meeting to address safety along the Three Chopt Road corridor between Freeman High School and Tuckahoe Middle School (a stretch that also includes Ridge Elementary School).
A Tuckahoe Middle School student died last month after being struck by a car while attempting to cross the road in front of the school, and community members have called for more safety enhancements along the corridor.
Henrico County Public Works officials also will attend the meeting, which will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the auditorium at Freeman High School, 8701 Three Chopt Road.
