Sadler Road closed from Aug. 11 to early September

Sadler Road in Glen Allen will be closed to through traffic between Innslake Drive and Scotland Lane beginning Monday, Aug. 11 as part of a project to improve and realign a 1.9-mile stretch of Sadler.
The closure is expected to remain in effect into the week of Sept. 8. Crews will regrade the roadbed and prepare for connections to a newly realigned portion of Sadler as well as a roundabout that will be built at the intersection of Sadler and Innslake.
With the closure, the Henrico Department of Public Works is accelerating construction that could otherwise last five to eight weeks.
Traffic will be detoured around the work zone by way of Dominion Boulevard, Innslake, Cox Road, Sadler Place, Sadler, Sadler Walk Lane and Glasgow Road.
