Richmond Amateur Radio Club offering assistance for those seeking FCC ham radio licenses

The Richmond Amateur Radio Club offers preparation for tech, general, and extra exams for those who are seeking FCC amateur (ham) radio licenses.

Registration deadlines for the club's courses (which begin after labor Day and end before Thanksgiving) are:

• Tech and Extra – Aug. 31; classes starts September 9
• General – Sept. 19; class starts October 9
• Radiosport and Contesting 101 – Sept. 8
• DMR, Antenna modeling, Remote station – Sept. 26.
