Texas Roadhouse, 10075 Jeb Stuart Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is no handwash signage posted at hand sink in beverage station; dish machine isn’t reaching the required temperature to sanitize; observed food debris on multiple plates stored on cookline and knives stored on magnetic strip in prep area; temperature of green beans prepared last night in walk-in is elevated because of improper cooling methods (stored in covered, stacked pans); temperatures of sliced tomatoes, lettuce and cheese in ice bath on serving line and buttermilk in reach-in freezer are elevated; container of salt or sugar at bar is unlabeled; bin at beverage station containing bags of sugar is unlabeled; clean containers are stacked while still wet; cutting boards are heavily scratched and discolored; fryer baskets are bent; metal strainer is in disrepair with broken wires; cart in dish area is cracked; metal grill brush is in disrepair with bent bristles; observed food debris on shelving in prep area; grease buildup found on fryers; there is a leaking faucet at mop sink; observed low grout and broken floor tiles in a few areas in the kitchen; ceiling is dusty; observed black mold/mildew on ceiling in dish area; an employee’s purse and jacket are hanging on rack next to clean dishes.

Wong’s Tacos, 201 Maltby Boulevard – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: raw tuna is stored next to ready-to-eat slaw in make table; hose bib at mop sink faucet is a single-check valve and not intended for continuous pressure.

Starbucks Coffee, 12241 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is no handwash signage posted at multiple handwash sinks; concentration of sanitizer in wiping cloth bucket is too low.

Family Secrets Restaurant, 7103 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide verification that employees have been trained on illness reporting responsibilities or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; food splatter found in two microwaves; chlorine concentration is too low at dishwasher; observed buildup of black/pink substance inside ice machine; observed black buildup inside soda gun nozzle and tea nozzle; there are no date marks on cole slaw or turkey in make table; potato salad in make table is past its expiration date; menu doesn’t contain an adequate disclosure for steak and burgers that may be served undercooked; spray bottle of bleach in bar area is unlabeled; there is no thermometer in reach-in refrigerator; facility doesn’t have a food thermometer; swai found in walk-in but is presented as catfish on the menu; flour, sugar and to-go containers at wait station are unlabeled; there is a full trap of cockroaches both dead and alive; facility couldn’t provide test strips for chlorine-based sanitizers; food debris found inside make table; walk-in racks are soiled; sides of equipment at cookline need cleaning; observed buildup of grease on hood filters; mops are not hung or inverted to air dry; there is a direct plumbing connection at three-compartment sink; AVB is missing at mop sink.

Caffe Colao, 8901 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide employee health policy or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; hand sink at front counter is being used as a dump sink for ice; there is gray buildup in ice machine; temperature of one tres leches cake in display case is elevated; facility couldn’t provide chlorine test strips; dish machine doesn’t have an irreversible registering temperature indicator.

Tony’s Italian Restaurant, 3409 Cox Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; employee touched ready-to-eat bread after touching raw beef; employee used three-compartment sink instead of hand sink to wash hands; temperature of two containers of pasta in grill cooler drawer is elevated; air freshener is stored next to oil and peppers; sanitizer wipes are stored above canned olives on dry storage shelves; ground beef is thawing in a bucket on the floor; bucket of ground beef is stored directly on floor; facility couldn’t provide chlorine or quat test strips.

Apple Spice Junction, 1504 East Parham Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of wrapped deli meat in reach-in cooler is elevated and has exceeded the four-hour cooling timeframe; temperatures of top portions of cooked chicken breast and chicken salad in prep unit are elevated because they are stacked too high in containers; sliced deli meats are covered during the cooling process; prep table cutting boards and butcher block table are heavily scratched and stained; plastic bins are broken; wire racks in outdoor walk-in cooler and inside oven/proofer box are rusty; wall is damaged under hand sink located at back door.

First Watch, 8621 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: cutting boards are scratched and stained; observed a significant leak from bottom part of dish machine.

Pizza Hut, 9020-B Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand soap isn’t available in employee restroom; food handler with long facial hair isn’t wearing a beard guard; observed grease accumulation on rack next to fryer and on shelves and hanging rack of back prep table; black buildup found on gaskets of lowboy cooler; there is a direct plumbing connection at three-compartment sink; restroom door was left open because it isn’t self-closing; restroom doesn’t have a covered trash can; there are cracked tiles throughout the kitchen; air vents are rusty; observed splashes on wall under three-compartment sink and dish machine; there is dust accumulation around air vents.

Go’Dragon Asian Grill, 4945 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: containers of white, powdery substances on hot line and a bulk container are unlabeled; dead roach found stuck between reach-in cooler doors; food is stored directly on walk-in cooler and freezer floors; cutting boards are scored and stained; can opener base in kitchen is very rusty; reach-in cooler door gasket is torn; several items/areas are dirty (walk-in cooler and reach-in cooler door gaskets, reach-in cooler exterior, prep table legs); walk-in cooler wire racks and fan guards are dirty and moldy; there are dried food stains on reach-in freezer door; observed buildup of grease residue on sides of cooking equipment, especially deep fryers; women’s restroom door isn’t self-closing; observed stained ceiling tile and dusty ceiling vent in front of house; there is dried food stain on kitchen walls; walls, floor behind and underneath deep fryers are greasy; hot line cooking equipment and hood filters are greasy.

Charlie’s Way, 8700 Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: menu doesn’t contain a consumer advisory statement for unpasteurized eggs cooked to order; single-service containers on cookline aren’t protected from contamination.

Henrico Sports and Events Center, 11000 Telegraph Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: front hand sink at front smoothie station doesn’t have hand soap or paper towels; hand sink by ice machine doesn’t have paper towels; observed leak at hand sink on cookline.

Genova Pizza Express, 8936 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of bins of marinara sauce in walk-in cooler is elevated because they are covered and stacked; various foods in prep tables and lowboys are not date marked; various food items are stored directly on floor in walk-in units; cutting board at salad make table is scratched and stained; fryer baskets have bent wires; gasket of Coke cooler is torn; storage rack above three-compartment sink and walk-in cooler racks are rusted; there is a direct plumbing connection at three-compartment sink; floor tiles are cracked and broken; ceiling tiles above walk-ins are falling.

Brecotea, 9627 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide employee health policy or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; temperatures of 47 sticks of butter on dry storage shelf and six more sticks on shelf above prep counter are elevated; bug spray is stored next to food on shelf below prep counter.

Trolley Eats & Groovin’ Gourmets, 8501 Sanford Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: three lights are out above hood; there are tape and stickers on outside of food containers; several metal racks are rusty with dried food debris on them; observed food debris on clean utensils, scoops, meat slicer blade and a whisk; high-heat dish machine isn’t reaching the required temperature.
