World of Beer, 11600 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: final surface temperature in the dishwasher is too low; equipment found stored in bar ice chest; fryer baskets have broken off metal pieces.

KOMMA TEA, 11800 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; no paper towels are available at either hand sink in the facility; temperature of boba is elevated because it is stored out on the counter in a large container; squeeze bottle at prep sink containing a thick pink chemical is unlabeled; ceiling vents in back of facility are surrounded by dust.

Panda Express, 1782 North Parham Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Jamaica Jerk Pit, 2743 Hungary Spring Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea.

Subway inside BP, 3606 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is no handwash signgage posted in men’s restroom, women’s restroom or at kitchen hand sinks; observed mouse droppings on shelf underneath serving case; walk-in cooler fan blades are dusty; outdoor dumpster doors were left open; observed dried food stains on wall behind/underneath three-compartment sink.

Firehouse Subs—White Oak, 4501 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there is no certified food protection manager; open can and drink cup found; temperature of tomatoes cut 2-3 hours prior in bottom of lowboy is elevated; observed small flies at mop sink; multiple wet wiping cloths are out on prep surfaces instead of being stored in sanitizer; observed food and grime buildup on inside and outside of units; racks throughout need cleaning; there is mold buildup on back sink; there is low grout and the floor is cracked around mop sink.

Tortilleria Mixteca, 5172 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no person in charge present; kitchen hand sink doesn’t have hand soap; there are no paper towels at kitchen or employee restroom hand sinks; dried food debris and stains found on meat slicer blade and base; temperature of rice on serving line is too low; facility doesn’t have a food thermometer; small and bulk containers of powdery white substances are unlabled; containers of wiping cloths are stored directly on kitchen floor; cutting boards are heavily scored and stained; metal storage racks in walk-in cooler are rusty; reach-in cooler next to rotisserie oven and three-door reach-in cooler door gaskets are dirty; sides of hot line cooking equipment have grease residue on them; observed food debris on top section of three-door reach-in cooler, reach-in freezer door and shelf under prep table; wire storage racks are dirty and coated in flour; walk-in cooler fan guards are dusty; observed grease residue on hot line walls in kitchen; there are dried food stains on wall behind three-compartment sink; ventilation hood filters at rotisserie oven and kitchen hot line are very greasy.

Panera Bread, 4483 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: back hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; mold found on ice machine; temperatures of romaine and greens in unit by check out, cut melon under ovens, and deli meat, steak and tomatoes in prep top are elevated; there are torn gaskets on units along service lines; racks and legs of tables are rusted; there is ice buildup on freezer; outside of ice machine is rusty; observed grime buildup on sides and wheels of equipment, gaskets and racks throughout; observed mold along units’ door openings; blender holders are dirty; there is heavy grime buildup under equipment on service line; area under dish three-compartment sink and walls are dirty; mops are not hung or inverted to air dry; there is low grouting by drive-thru and throughout back kitchen; ceiling tiles are peeling in back kitchen.

Chop’t Creative Salad, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of salmon, chicken and bacon on the make line are elevated; observed dust and food debris buildup on hinges of front lowboy unit under make line; floor in front of display box is deeply scratched and no longer smooth and easily cleanable; observed food debris and grime buildup under make line and on floor and wall beside lowboy.

& Pizza, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: green rack in dish drying area and green rack in walk-in cooler are rusted; cutting boards are scratched and stained; there is a direct plumbing connection at three-compartment sink; floor throughout kitchen is chipped and in disrepair.

Thai Diner, 8059 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide employee health policy or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; employee used bare hands to place sprouts in to-go container; rice scoops are stored in ambient temperature water; mop isn’t hung or inverted to air dry.


NOV. 3

Hot Pot 757, 7502 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of bean sprouts and udon noodles in tall reach-in refrigerator are elevated; temperatures of fried tempura, shrimp and mini sausage in prep unit are elevated because the containers are overfilled; in-use knife is stored in crevice between prep tables.

O’Charley’s Restaurant, 9990 Brook Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

MOD Pizza, 8671 Quioccasin Road – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: several storage racks are rusted; facility doesn’t have an irreversible temperature measuring device for the dish machine; exterior and interior of all lowboy units are dirty with dried food debris and grime; floor in back of facility is no longer smooth and easily cleanable.

Pelagos VR, 1404 North Parham Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.
