AUG. 19

Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar, 7801 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; chlorine level is too low at both dish machines; temperatures of Swiss and cheddar cheese in prep cooler next to grill is elevated; bottle of all purpose cleaner at bar is unlabeled; there are wires bent/broken on four fryer baskets; observed food buildup in gaskets and bottom of prep cooler next to grill; spray hose attached to mop sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed.

Taco Bell, 7210 West Broad Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: observed dried food on outside of taco shell containers, warmer racks and hot press.

Topgolf Richmond, 2308 Westwood Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: wait staff is garnishing beverages with bare hands; there is no handwash signage posted in first floor men’s restroom; there is mold inside ice machine on second floor; temperatures of tomato sauce and wings cooling in first floor walk-in cooler are elevated because they are tightly covered and double stacked; bulk containers of salt and flour are unlabeled; observed fruit/drain flies throughout establishment, especially at bar areas; two lights are out in first floor hood system; one light is out over second floor burger grill; cutting boards are scored and stained; observed mold and food debris on wire storage racks in walk-in coolers; clean dish racks on second floor are dusty; second floor walk-in cooler door gaskets are moldy; observed food debris and grease residue on sides of cooking equipment; there are dried food stains on ceiling tile in kitchen.

Captain D’s Seafood, 7607 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of hush puppies and slaw in tall reach-in refrigerator are elevated; parts of ceiling are in disrepair; there is low grout in kitchen area.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, 8654 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperature of cheese in grill prep unit is elevated because it is over stacked; several in-use wet wiping cloths are not stored in sanitizer; hand sink is coming loose from wall; observed grime and dried food on perimeter of floors.


AUG. 21

Hawk’s BBQ & Seafood, 8191-B Brook Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there isn’t a certified food protection manager on staff; no handwash signage is posted in facility restrooms; dried food debris more than 24 hours old found on crockpot used to hold greens and inside microwave oven; observed heavy grease and grime buildup on bulk container used for seasoned flour; fish breader is on time control but no discard time is marked; various pesticides are stored in the kitchen; bulk containers of flour are unlabeled; water is leaking from a wall in the kitchen, leaving puddles on kitchen floor and causing damage to walls and floor as well as a bag of used linens held in dry storage area; observed many fruit/drain flies and other pests throughout kitchen; food debris found in mop sink; kitchen staff aren’t wearing hair restraints; facility doesn’t have sanitizer test strips; there is heavy grease buildup on sides of hot line cooking equipment, especially spaces in between equipment; wire storage racks throughout kitchen are dirty; observed dried food debris, stains, liquid residue and mold on/in reach-in cooler lids, doors, door gaskets, exteriors and interiors; there is a direct plumbing connection underneath the three-compartment sink; there is heavy grease residue on reach-in cooler and walls underneath/behind hot line prep table; hot line floor is greasy; there are food stains on walls throughout kitchen; ceiling tile is heavily stained and dusty near ventilation; ceiling tile is damaged and stained; there are cracked/missing floor tiles in dish pit area; hoods and filters are greasy; there is low light intensity on hot line; hood system lights are not working properly.

Panda Express, 9100 Staples Mill Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Mr. Noodle, 9127-C West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed black buildup in ice machine; food splatter found inside microwave; fried egg rolls in container are sitting out on shelf above prep cooler (either keep cold or put on time control); prep cooler cutting board is scored and stained brown; wire is bent on fryer basket; dumpster cover was left open.


AUG. 22

Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, 11761-A West Broad Street – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Intermission Beer Company, 10089-A Brook Road – No violations reported during a routine inspection.

Pinch’s Soul Food & Catering, 3708 Meadowbridge Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: cutting boards are scored; there is grease residue on sides of cooking equipment on hot line; there is a direct plumbing connection underneath the three-compartment sink.

Starbucks inside Target, 4521 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: electric fly trap is installed over clean dish rack; facility doesn’t have an irreversible registering temperature indicator for dish machine; the proper backflow prevention device isn’t installed at mop sink.

Hibachi Grill Buffet, 4338 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide employee health policy or written procedures for cleaning up vomit and diarrhea; hibachi area hand sink doesn’t have hand soap or paper towels; raw shrimp is stored over ready-to-eat spinach dip, toast and sauce; time is not marked for sushi on buffet; rice in prep cooler is cooling in tightly wrapped plastic wrap; clams are thawing on the counter; bulk flour bins are unlabeled; shelving racks in vegetable walk-in cooler are rusty and dirty.

Backwoodz BBQ, 400 West Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: person in charge couldn’t provide food protection manager certification; there is limescale-like buildup in ice machine; hand sanitizer and wipes are stored next to spices.


AUG. 25

Tokyo Sushi Japanese, 10274 Staples Mill Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hot water at sushi bar hand sink was turned off; temperatures of raw chicken and fried sweet potato in prep unit are elevated; there is no time marked on sushi rice made this morning.

La Cabaña, 4086 Crockett Street – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: eggs are stored above cooked chicken in reach-in refrigerator.
