El Torito Mexican Restaurant & Grill, 5600 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: there are no paper towels or hand soap at any of the three hand wash sinks; cutting board found in back hand sink; observed mold and mildew buildup on shield of ice machine and soda nozzle at bar; there are no date marks on prepped items (meat, lettuce, tomatoes, sauces, etc.); soiled and wet wiping cloths found on cutting boards on prep units; there is heavy ice buildup in units at bar; floors under cooking equipment and bar are in need of cleaning.
Wendy’s, 4609 Williamsburg Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee touched their face and then handled food without washing hands first; observed a brown liquid (appears to be soda) in hand sink near three-compartment sink; sauce bottles are stored dirty on a clean storage shelf; temperature of burger patties on holding side of grill is too low because the holding side of the grill was turned off; temperature of shredded cheese on cook line is elevated; temperatures of blue cheese, chopped egg and lettuce in walk-in cooler is elevated; person in charge is unable to provide written time control policy; raw shell eggs are on a four-hour time control but the time isn’t being tracked; employee with long hair doesn’t have it tied back; employee with artificial nails isn’t wearing gloves while working with burgers and drinks; microwave is broken; gasket on lowboy cooler near fryer is torn; food thermometer probe is broken; interior of cooler next to grill is leaking; ice machine vent is dusty; back of fryer is greasy; three-compartment sink is leaking; observed grease on ground at dumpster; floor at CO2 tank and walls and floors near fryers are dirty; ceiling is leaking in dish area; there are broken floor tiles throughout kitchen; there is low grout, especially at prep line.
European Taste, 10604 Patterson Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed dried food debris and grease on utensils stored above dish machine; metal wires are bending on fryer baskets; there is buildup of grease and dried food on surfaces of grill, fryers, shelves, wire racks, rolling cart, spice containers, fryer baskets and inside reach-in cooler; observed buildup of grease and food debris on floors under and behind equipment; ceiling light fixture in back dishwash room is missing a shield.
Starbucks inside Publix, 5400 Wyndham Forest Drive – No violations reported during a routine inspection.
Chiplotle Mexican Grill, 5300 Wyndham Forest Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: employee’s breakfast sandwich found on prep surface; observed mold-like buildup at soda machine ice dispenser.

Charles’ Kitchen, 10835 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: hand sink in bar area doesn’t have hand soap; temperature of beef patty in bar area warmer is too low; gasket liners are torn on right-side door of prep unit on line and left-side door of bar reach-in unit; upper rack in center of three-door reach-in unit in kitchen is peeling; drying racks across from three-compartment sink are covered in a layer of dust; dumpster area is dirty and surrounded by loose trash and debris; ceiling vents in kitchen above prep line and ware washing area are both surrounded by a layer of dust; mop isn’t hung or inverted to air dry; ceiling light in back of kitchen is missing shield.
Tazza Kitchen, 3332 Pump Road – The following violation was reported during a routine inspection: no paper towels are available at hand sink in bar area.
IHOP Restaurant, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: sanitizer bucket found in hand sink; no paper towels are available at either hand sink in expo area or hand sink on line; observed mold accumulation in ice machine; waitress/expo employee is wearing bracelets; temperature of water in water wells for in-use utensils is too low; single-use containers and aluminum cooking trays are not inverted or covered to protect from contamination; fryer baskets have bent and broken wires; cutting boards at prep units and at cook line throughout the kitchen are scratched and stained; facility doesn’t have test strips for sanitizer at three-compartment sinks or for sanitizer buckets; waffle maker hinges are dirty; there is grease accumulation on sides of fryer and surrounding reach-in coolers; u-connector, y-connector and hose without continuous pressure are installed at mop sink without the proper backflow prevention device; hand sink doesn’t have adequate water pressure to wash hands; doors and lids were left open on dumpsters; observed low grout in some places throughout kitchen; walk-in freezer floor is very warped; wet mop isn’t hung or inverted to air dry; observed grease buildup on floor under fryer.

Cheesecake Factory, 11800 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: soda nozzle closest to the entrance of the bar has black buildup along the interior; temperatures of pico, lettuce and cabbage in first prep unit on the line are elevated; temperatures of garlic butter and diced tomatoes in last make table on prep line are elevated; temperatures of tomatoes and cabbage in produce walk-in cooler are elevated; flour for fried foods is on a four-hour sifting time policy but the flour had not been sifted two hours past its expiration time; bulk bins stored under prep tables in kitchen are unlabeled.
Umi Sushi Restaurant, 11645 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility couldn’t provide employee health policy; hand sink between kitchen area and sushi bar doesn’t have hand soap; one of the fryer baskets has broken off metal pieces.
Vallarta Mexican Grill Mariscos Bar, 5431 Glenside Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: paper towel dispenser is empty at front hand sink; hand soap dispenser at back hand sink is empty; observed some mussels with shells open in reach-in cooler; dried food residue found on can opener; temperatures of cut tomatoes and cooked shrimp in prep unit are elevated; cut tomatoes are covered while cooling in the walk-in cooler; dried food debris found inside microwave; observed limescale on exterior of dish machines.
Mi Guerrero Grill, 61 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: prep table is blocking access to hand sink in kitchen; there is no handwash signage posted in men’s restroom; kitchen hand sink doesn’t have paper towels; raw meat found in kitchen hand sink; foods held for more than 24 hours are not date marked; spray cleaning bottle in kitchen is unlabeled; stainless steel polish is stored next to food and cutting boards; meat is thawing at room temperature in kitchen prep sink; container of powdery white substance is unlabeled; box of food is stored directly on kitchen floor; food throughout kitchen is stored in non-food grade plastic grocery bags; two lights are out in hood system; one deep fryer basket is in disrepair; reach-in cooler door gaskets are torn and dirty; cutting boards are scored and stained; facility doesn’t have sanitizer test strips; sides of hot line equipment are greasy; there is no covered trash can in women’s restroom; there are stained and damaged ceiling tiles throughout restaurant; there is missing ceiling tile in men’s restroom; the wrong material is used for ceiling tile in kitchen area.

Skrimp Shack, 4760 Finlay Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: no handwash signage is posted in dining area restrooms; hot water in men’s restroom doesn’t reach the required temperature; there are no paper towels at hot line hand sink; raw chicken (gizzards and tenders) is stored over raw fish in walk-in cooler; menu lists catfish but swai is being served; bulk container of sugar is unlabled; boxes of food are stored directly on walk-in freezer floor; food staff are wearing bracelets; food staff are not wearing hair restraints; black to-go platters are not stored inverted or protected; reach-in freezer interior is heavily iced over and not keeping food frozen; one light is out in the hood system; prep table bottom shelves, walk-in cooler wire racks and can opener base and blade are rusty; plastic container holding crabcakes is cracked/broken; cutting boards are heavily scored and stained; sides of hot line cooking equipment are covered in flour and grease residue, especially spaces between equipment; point-of-sale screens throughout kitchen, security camera and wall fan in kitchen are dusty; dry storage racks are caked with flour; there is dried food debris/stains on reach-in freezer and cooler doors and door gaskets; walk-in cooler fan guards and ceiling are moldy; observed dried food debris on walk-in cooler wire racks; y-valve attached to mop sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; outdoor dumpster doors and lids were left open; there are stains on ceiling tile throughout kitchen; ceiling tile near ventilation is dusty; staff beverages/food items are stored in various places around kitchen and in walk-in cooler amongst retail food items.
