The University of Richmond women's basketball team defeated South Alabama A&M 72-58 as part of the 4 Tha Culture Holiday Hoops Classic at the Henrico Sports and Events Center Dec. 20, 2025, while the VCU women's team fell in the same tournament to Penn State 78-66. The day before, VCU opened the tournament with a 72-53 loss to the University of Georgia. The Spiders were set to face Penn State Dec. 21, while Georgia took on Coppin State.
