Pedestrian dead, driver badly injured in tractor-trailer crash that has South Laburnum Avenue shut down

A pedestrian is dead and a driver is facing life-threatening injuries after two tractor-trailers crashed along South Laburnum Avenue, Henrico Police said.
The crash happened near the intersection with Williamsburg Road around 11:45 a.m. Thursday.
Police said the pedestrian, a man who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Drivers are advised to find alternate routes, as South Laburnum Avenue is shut down in the area of the crash.
