Valerie Denise Washington, 67,of Henrico, died February 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her son, Walter Washington and parents, Carl And Iola Washington. Surviving are her husband, Cleveland Washington, Jr. son, Dwayne Washington (Sita); stepdaughter, Dee Dee Washington; stepson, Robert Washington; devoted sister, Louise Simmons (Todd); sisters, Angela Fox (Robbie) and Tammy Washington (Will); brothers, Carl Washington, Jr. and Quinton Roane (Vonne); six grandchildren, Nihya, Skylar, Cleo, Jessica, Dianne and Johnaysha; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Sunday, March 1 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 2 at Scott's Chapel. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens.
