Thomas Lewis Hamilton, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. He was born on April 23, 1950, in Cabell, West Virginia, to the late John Alonza Hamilton and Doris Carneal Roberts. He was raised by his mother and step-father, Richard Clinton Roberts.

Tom is survived by his half-sisters, Tammy Moore (Richard), Marchetta Parker, and Rena Hussey (Alan), Violet Hubbard (his step-father's daughter), a niece, three nephews, five great nephews, and his loving furry companions, Dorothy and Bruce.

Tom found joy in nature, wildlife and his many pets over the years. He was an enthusiastic and skilled marksman, an avid collector of historical artifacts, lover of old movies, fishing, a good steak and dining at Elephant Thai, his favorite restaurant. He was blessed with many friends, and took comfort in scripture, poetry and journaling.

Those who knew Tom will remember a man with a warm smile, welcoming eyes, a sense of humor, and a soft heart who felt deeply, and lived life on his own terms.

The family will mourn privately and celebrate Tom's life in their own way, and asks that his friends do the same.
