Obituary - Stanley Bernard Jones Jr.

Stanley B. Jones Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Richmond, Virginia on December 13th, at the age of 64; In the presence of his son and wife. He was born August 29th, 1961 in Key West, Florida, to S. Bernard and Mary Marble (Walthall) Jones.
Stan is survived by his wife Heather G. Jones, who lovingly cared for him through his final days, as did his son S. Thompson Jones and soon to be daughter-in-law N. Paige Terry. Also surviving are his father, Dr. S. Bernard Jones, his brother Christopher Chadbourne Jones, his sister-in-law Mitchell Jones, his niece Abby Jones Appleby, her husband Nate Appleby and his nephew Christopher Chadbourne Jones Jr. Along with Treva G. Houser, David Houser, Elizabeth Houser Lewis, Joshua Lewis, Mary-Catherine Houser; Patricia G. Pace, Richard Dean Pace, Heather Pace, Aubrey Pace, Madison Weis Pace, Charles Pace, and a host of great-nieces.
After graduating from Douglas Southall Freeman High School and Randolph-Macon College, Stan started his career in the world of banking and continued to do so for 42 years. He was a longtime member of Hermitage Country Club and an avid golfer. He also enjoyed playing softball and bowling with his friends and son. He loved traveling with his family to many different destinations, but loved nothing more than family time at the beach. He also enjoyed volunteering his time with Meals on Wheels, The Boys and Girls Club of Virginia and was a board member of the Henrico Education Foundation.
His friends and family are invited to a visitation at Woody’s Funeral Home, 1771 N Parham road on Sunday December 21st, from 2:30-4:30 pm. There will be a celebration of life in late January, that is to-be-determined.
