Sheryl Thurston Didlake, 69, of Henrico County, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her loving Father, Harry Thurston Jr. (Sylvia), her loving mother, Barbara Egnor (Cliff); her loving grandfather, Harry Thurston Sr.; her loving Nanny, Myrtle Thurston; and her loving son-in-law, Kenneth Golding.
She is survived by her loving children, Kyle Mabie (Bridgette), David Vest, Angie Henshaw (William), Shannon Golding; her loving sister, Gail Dickerson (Tim); her loving grandchildren, Savannah, Alexis, Nikolas, Trista, Dillon, Hunter, Eyan, McKenzie, and Chance; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Sheryl lived life to the fullest in Virginia and West Virginia. She was always outgoing and never met a stranger. Family and friends meant the world to her. She loved her vacations with her daughter, Angie, and her family. She also loved shopping and going out to eat with her sister, Gail. Sheryl loved the finer things in life such as the Hallmark Channel, Andy Griffith, and her Soap Operas. She worked for Philip Morris, and in the hospitality industry, loved taking care of children, and enjoyed her retirement.
The immediate family will gather for a private memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation in Sheryl’s honor to The National Kidney Foundation.
