Robert Steven Cook of Glen Allen, Virginia died peacefully in his home on May 14, 2025, at the age of 82. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary Cook, son Steven, stepchildren Debbie (Roy), Leonard (Michelle) and Cindy, seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Isabel and Anthony Cook. Originally from Wilkes-Barre, PA, Bob was born on April 29, 1943, as one of eight children, and attended James M. Coughlin High School. He joined the Army in 1961 and served his country for four years as a weapons calibrator. He later graduated from J. Sargeant Reyolds, summa cum laude, with an associate degree in applied science and worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. before becoming employed by C&P Telephone Company, from which he later retired. Bob was an avid bowler, hunter and golfer. He loved puzzles, old westerns and movies of all kinds. A gentle and quite man, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Affectionately known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as PawPaw, his patience and kindness was exhibited in every interaction with them. Forever loved, we wish you peace and comfort on your journey home.
