It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Blane Maxwell III of Henrico, Virginia, on Saturday, May 17th, among family and close friends at the age of 74. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Maxwell, their two sons, Blane Maxwell, Ryan Maxwell and his wife Alison, and his sister, Cheryl Byron.
Affectionately known as Max, he was one of the kindest and big-hearted people around, often focused on pursuing a noble life in service of God and putting others above self. He loved entertaining friends and family with his magic tricks, spending time with beloved fraternity brothers, playing golf in the Outer Banks, and never missed his annual guys trip to the Indy 500.
Since the age of 16, Max spent his career in the printing industry, and until retiring in 2019, he owned and operated the Minuteman Press of Glen Allen where he loved supporting the community in all their printing needs. Max also served his community by sitting on the board of Great Aspirations Scholarship Program (GRASP) supporting students' pursuit of higher education, on the board of CTE for Henrico County Schools, on the board of the Innsbrook Foundation and as a member of the business group, WHIMBY.
