Obituary - Patricia Ann Payne
Our beloved mother, Patricia Ann Payne of Henrico County, Virginia, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at home. Born on April 30, 1946, in Albemarle County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mable Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Payne; great-granddaughter, Alivia Navi Ratcliff; and granddaughter, Lexis Bastain.
She leaves to cherish her memories three children; Loretta Fleming (Michael) of Henrico, Virginia; Robert Jackson Jr. (Cheryl) of Charlottesville, Virginia; and Shannon Jackson (Sam) of Midlothian, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Chyna Frazier (Michael), Alishia Jackson (Travis Sr.), LeAnna Henderson, Sky Fleming, Jordyn Fleming, Keone’ Chandler, Hayleigh Fleming, Carmelo Camp and Dre Camp; nine great-grandchildren; Mekhi Frazier, Desmond Jackson, MeKhayla Frazier, Malique Frazier, Logan Fleming, Jaxson Fleming, Kissiah Ratcliff, Travis Ratcliff Jr. and Leiah Fleming; God-daughters, Athena Byrd, Sonya Sheffie and Angela Chase; two brothers, Lloyd A. Payne Jr. (Gwen), Gary B. Payne (Carolyn) of Goochland, Virginia; three sisters, Roslyn Hawkins of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Cassandra Payne-Pace and Doris Payne-Howard of Henrico, Virginia; one forever brother-in-law, John Hawkins Sr., of Charlotte, North Carolina; and one forever sister in-law, Annie Myers of Afton, Virginia; best friends, Carol Josenberger of Henrico, Virginia, Francis Torry of California and Claudette Sawyer of New York; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Patricia was a friend to many and will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit.
A funeral service will be held at St. Peter Baptist Church, 2040 Mountain Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060 on Friday, March 13, 2026, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, followed directly by the service at 11:00 AM. Internment will be private.
