Michael Anthony White, 55, of Henrico County, was granted his angel wings on Saturday, December 27, 2025. He was born in Orlando, Florida to Alberta G. Turner-Core and Willie J. White on June 6, 1970. He was educated in the Orlando Public Schools through grade school. His mother relocated the family to Stamford, Connecticut, where he attended and graduated from Turn of River Middle School and Rippowam High School in 1988. He also attended Connecticut Business Institute and graduated as a Multi-Skilled Technician in 1996.

Michael garnered and gained many skills as well as touched many lives while writing the chapters of his “life” book during the years he lived in Connecticut. He worked as a Home Health Aide for years caring for others, showing the side of him that was giving, thoughtful and always ready to help. He also worked as a Colorist/Paint Technician specializing in creating custom colors and in color matching.

It was while he lived in Connecticut that he developed his relationship with The Lord attending services at Community Temple. Christ was and remained in his heart.

Michael relocated to Richmond, Virginia in 2014 after marrying his high school sweetheart, Shawn. They had a wonderful love story. They were married for 13 years. He was a provider and a protector. There was nothing he would not do for his “baby” including building her a house from the ground up and allowing her to choose every facet of what she wanted to include in their home. His love for her was endless and he showed it in word and in deed.

He was very skilled with his hands and was employed as a Rewind Operator/Machine Operator, Equipment Machine Operator and most recently as a Forklift Driver/Power Jack Driver with Performance Food Group. He did not mind sharing his life lessons and the knowledge he acquired to help guide others to better themselves.

Michael was an avid sports fan – he enjoyed watching tennis with his wife, football (rooting for the San Francisco 49ers), basketball (rooting for the Boston Celtics) and baseball (rooting for his beloved Yankees).

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandmother “Tuie”, and uncle, Curtis Turner.

Michael created many fond memories that will be cherished forever by his loving and dedicated wife, Shawn; bonus children, Ashley Guyther (Marcus),  Jourdan Davis-Dewitt, Jael Nixon and Shenell Crite; four grandchildren; loyal brother, James Core (Sasha) of Cypress, TX;  aunts, Sandy Willie Ruth Allen of Orlando, FL, Diane Turner of Detroit, MI, Carolyn Jordan and Debra "Dee Dee" Green (Shawn) of Stamford, Connecticut; niece, Clacey Core of Cypress, TX; brother-in-law, Anthony Davis (DoAne); sister-in-law, Sukeisha Davis; other relatives and many friends.

Although it is difficult today to look beyond the sorrow; may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. Michael loved the Lord’s Prayer, and as he was transitioning, he and Shawn recited the Lord’s Prayer together. His final words were “thank you Lord – Amen.”
