Lorna Lee Snyder, age 68, of Sandston, Virginia passed away surround by family on Thursday, September 25, 2025

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Roger L. Snyder; daughter, Kelly J. Snyder; father, John R. Welch; mother, Joyce L. (Meyers) Cavey; and sister, Tracey L. Cavey.

Left to cherish her memory are her significant other of over 10 years, Raymond Barrett Jr.; daughter, Angel Snyder-Chretien; grandsons, DeRome "DJ" Chretien Jr., Landyn Chretien; sisters, Robin K. Shook, Marna "Sue" Cavey; Aunt, Marna Meyers-Morris, niece, Richelle L. Printy (Jeff); nephew, Marty D. Shook (Shannon); Raymond's daughters, Angel DeSouza (Danny Wagstaff), Lori Bauschatz (Ross); Betty Gravatt, Kasi Connor; and rest of the Snyder family; as well as many dear friends.

Lorna was a 1975 graduate of Fort Hill High school and retired from A.H. Robins as a Quality Control Manager. She was there for everyone with a heart of gold and family always came first. Lorna's smile and joyful presence lit up every room she entered. She enjoyed playing Bingo and gambling where she was known to be quite a lucky lady. Lorna was a member of the Hopewell Moose Lodge, Sandston VFW, and the Cumberland Eagles. She also enjoyed to cruises and camping with family and friends at Grey’s Point Campground. Above all. Lorna cherished spending time with her friends and loved ones.

At her request, there will be no formal funeral services. To those looking to honor Lorna’s memory, the family requests donations be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
