Linda (Lynn) Evelyn Cooper Hutton, RN, formerly of Newburyport, MA, passed away in the early morning of November 16, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Lynn was born on August 27, 1941, in New York City, alongside her twin brother, Lindsay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Doris Cooper, and her brothers, David and Paul Cooper.

Lynn is survived by her loving son, David Paul Hutton, and his wife, Jean, of Washington State; her twin brother, Lindsay Cooper; and her sisters, Janice LoBello (Tim) and Diane Boone (Larry). She is also survived by her nephews, Tim LoBello Jr. and Andy Boone; her nieces, Bridgette Carter, Katie Mayo, and Leighanne Boone (who was her devoted caregiver over the past two years), and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She moved with her family from New York in 1950 to Danville, VA. In 1959, they moved to Chesterfield County, VA, and she graduated with honors from Thomas Dale High School. She then attended William & Mary College and later earned her BA from Roberts Wesleyan College. She was a nurse at Anna Jacques Hospital and an administrator at Harris Street Associates, both in Newburyport, and finally a nurse in the Rochester public school system in New York. Upon retirement, she moved to Henrico, VA, in 2001.

Lynn traveled to many places around the world. She loved to read, enjoyed classical music, and could answer most questions on her favorite show, “Jeopardy!” Known for her beautiful penmanship and thoughtful handwritten notes, she will be remembered for her sharp mind, steadfastness, and her generous heart towards those she loved. Her laughter and her presence will be greatly missed.

Arrangements are being handled by Affinity Funeral Service. Burial will take place in Easthampton, MA, next to her grandmother at a later date.
