James Gregory “Greg” Duncan,78, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Richmond, Virginia.
Greg was the son of James “Jimmie” Duncan and Ruth Duncan. He grew up in Short Pump and attended J.R.Tucker H.S. He loved the outdoors and spent his time hunting, fishing, and enjoying nature. Especially, at his “happy place” in Buckingham, Virginia. Greg was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church in Short Pump. He was a singer with several groups in the Richmond area in the 60’s-90’s including Joker’s Wild, Gregory D. and the Mainmen, and Mainstay.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Terry; his daughter, Paige (Brian); his grandsons, Gregory (Mary), and Logan; great-grandson Harvey; sisters Brenda Mitchell and Gayle King (Wesley).
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
