Obituary - Graham Niven Bowman

Graham Niven Bowman (89) of Henrico, VA went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 23, 2025. He was born December 1, 1935 in Goochland, VA, the oldest of eight children. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years Carol Jean Langner Bowman, parents Charles and Aileen Bowman, as well as his twin brother Elwood, Charles, Benny, Bobby, Billy, sister Helen Robertson, niece Emily Kate Robertson and great nephew Troy Farmer. He is survived by his youngest brother Kenny (Christine), daughters Paige Moreton (Randy), Courtney Chernault (Tracy), granddaughter Kaitlyn Townsend, grandsons Jesse Chernault and Kyle Chernault (Shelby). Graham joined the National Guard in 1958. He worked for VEPCO, Southern States and retired from the City of Richmond. Graham was a longtime member of Monument Heights Baptist Church and served as Deacon and Usher. He loved the Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Goochland County High School sports. Most recently he was a resident of Lakewood Retirement Community where he met many new friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 1, 2025 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, Glen Allen. The family will receive friends one hour prior from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery, Rockville.
