Obituary - Grace Elizabeth Edmonds Robinson

Grace Elizabeth (Edmonds) Robinson, Betty, of Henrico County, VA died on June 9, 2025, at the age of 91, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Betty was born in Richmond VA on January 17, 1934. She is predeceased by both of her parents, William L. and Georgie M. (Rutledge) Edmond as well as an older sister and brother-in-law, Francis A. and Albert L. Gupton.

Betty is survived by her husband of almost 69 years, William E. (Bill) Robinson; a son, William E. (Robbie) Robinson Jr., (Carol); a daughter, Deborah (Debbie) R. Taylor (Donald): three grandchildren, Brian Robinson, Chris Taylor (Kelsey), and Michael Taylor (Courtney); two great-grandsons (Hudson and Graham Taylor), with a third great granddaughter on the way and due in August, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Betty graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1953 and was a member of Hunton Baptist Church in Glen Allen, VA. She retired from Virginia Mutual Insurance Company in 1996. Betty was a very caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved taking care of the home where she raised her family.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Bliley’s Funeral Home, Staples Mill Chapel from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 AM.

A reception honoring Betty will be held immediately after the service, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.

Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers and staff at Lakeside Health and Rehabilitation as well as the entire Constellation Hospice team for the care and compassion provided to Betty and the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Hunton Baptist Church in Glen Allen, VA or the Alzheimer’s Association.
