Obituary - Gloria Schneider Tiller

Gloria Schneider Tiller, 80, of Henrico County, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 27, 2025.
Gloria was born on April 1, 1945, to the late John Sr. and Lillian Schneider. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Mike Tiller, who she loved dearly; a son, Steve Parsons III; sisters, Anna Tyler, Norma White, and Barbara Lowery; brother, John Schneider, Jr; brothers-in-law Jimmy Tyler, Rossie White, and Thomas Tiller; and sister-in-law, Myrna Schneider. Gloria retired as a legal secretary from Christian & Barton in 2021 after more than 50 years, where she met many lifelong friends. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially while vacationing on the Rappahannock River. She loved riding motorcycles, a good yard sale, and her country music. She was a beloved patron of the Old Dominion Barn Dance and enjoyed listening to bands at the American Legion and Moose Lodge with her friends.
Gloria was a true matriarch, a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and her proudest title, great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her because to know her was to love her. She leaves her son, Jonathan Tiller; daughter-in-law, Tammy Bowles (Paul); grandchildren, Sarah Jones (Daryl) and Steven Parsons IV; great-granddaughters, Cameran, Ellie, Rylie and Wynslie; brother-in-law Philip Lowery; sister-in-law, Nancy Tiller; best friend of 56 years, Joyce Luck; and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at Affinity Funeral Service – Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy., Richmond, Va. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, in the funeral home chapel. Following the service Gloria would ask you to come take a ride to her final resting place at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
