Obituary - Gerald Junius Merridew

Jerry Merridew, 83, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Waverly and Gladys Merridew.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pat Merridew; daughter, Lisa Quarles and her husband, Ben; grandchildren, Ben Quarles III, Jordin Quarles and Lexi Quarles; and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Jerry was a welder and fabricator for over 40 years at O.F.I. and loved farming and anything to do with tractors, hunting, surf-fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger, making friends with everyone he met.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA. 23231. The family warmly invites everyone to continue to celebrate Jerry's life following the service at Glendale Ruritan, 6188 Charles City Road., Sandston, VA, 23150
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the American Cancer Society.
