Elton Lee Williams, 69, of Henrico, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord on October 8, 2025. Born on December 25, 1956, in Atlantic, Virginia, Elton lived a life marked by curiosity, achievement, and devotion to those he loved.

An accomplished scientist and engineer, Elton earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1979 and later pursued a master of Business Administration from Stafford University in London in 1984. His professional career reflected both his intellectual brilliance and dedication to innovation. Elton served in leadership roles with NASA, worked as Chief Engineer for Stone Industrial in College Park, Maryland, and contributed his expertise in engineering maintenance at Tyson Foods, Inc.

Elton was also an inventor, most notably creating The Gliding Edge Roller, a patent-pending massage tool designed to assist with pain relief and the modulation of soft tissue injuries. His innovative design was tested and applied by athletic trainers with the San Francisco Giants, Hampton University, George Washington University, University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia State University—demonstrating his lasting impact on both science and wellness.

Beyond his professional and inventive endeavors, Elton was an active member of the Richmond Bridge Association and a lifelong enthusiast of both bridge and chess. His love for strategy and fellowship shone through in every game he played. He will be remembered for his sharp intellect, generous spirit, and steadfast dedication to those around him. Elton’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his close family and friends.

Elton is survived by close family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and legacy.
