Obituary - Elenora Elizabeth Wilkinson
Elenora ("Nora") Elizabeth Wilkinson, born November 29, 1931, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 and went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel F. Goldsby and John M. Steinbrecher Sr.; her beloved husband of 48 years, Ellwood K. Wilkinson Sr. ("Buzzy"); her daughter, Donna M. Roche; and her siblings, John M. Jr., Fulmer, Tony, Leo, Robert, and Ethel.
Nora's memory will be lovingly carried on by those she cherished most: her children, Denise L. Harris (Franklin), Ellwood K. Wilkinson, Jr., Karen Hope (David) and son-in-law Joe Roche; her sister, Joan Marie Craze (Ed); her grandchildren, Scott Styer (Rachelle), Stephanie Styer-Talman, Kellie Cox (Matt), and Patrick Roche (Jordan), Michelle Dowdy, Alan-Michael Hope; and her great-grandchildren, Harlie, Hayden, Savannah, Austin, Brady, Riley, Harper, Parker, Trevor, Trenton, Kloe, Ayden and Mitchell. She is also survived by many other extended family members, and dear friends.
A lifelong resident of Richmond and a longtime member of the Lakeside community, Nora lived a life defined by her deep love for family, her adventurous spirit, and her passion for travel. She visited 49 states over the course of her life, always eager to explore new places, but she especially cherished trips to the beach and visits to Disney, where she created lasting memories with those she loved. Nora dedicated many of her adult years to being a homemaker and taking care of her family and then to her work, first at Miller & Rhoads in Richmond and later with Bank of America, where she built meaningful relationships and took great pride in her career.
The family will receive friends at Blileys Funeral Home, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Richmond, VA 23228, on Monday, March 30th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 31st, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Benedict Catholic Church, 300 North Sheppard Street, Richmond, VA 23221, with interment to follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.
