Obituary - Doris Jean Wiltshire Mays

Doris Jean Wiltshire Mays of Henrico, VA, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 13, with her husband Bob, to whom she was married for 66 years, by her side.
Doris is survived by her husband, Robert; three daughters, Susan Satterfield, Sandra Bell, and Jean Whisman; and seven grandchildren: Hannah Tomasic, Martha Hill, John Hill, Rebekah Nidiffer, Andrew Bell, Thomas Whisman, and Daniel Whisman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Hazel “Polly” Wiltshire.
Doris dedicated many years of her life to nursing prior to her retirement. She and her husband played an influential role in the lives of their grandchildren, and Doris took great pleasure in attending their various activities. She valued maintaining an active social life and prioritized staying connected with her numerous friends throughout her lifetime.
A graveside service officiated by Rev. Kelly Lane will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 19, at noon.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Grove Church.
