Dennis Claude Ford Sr., 77, of Henrico County, VA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24th, at home surrounded by his loved ones. Dennis was born in Richmond and raised in Varina.

Dennis was a proud Vietnam veteran, serving his country for six years in the United States Air Force. Dennis was an avid “CBer” known as Red Foxx. He loved camping, especially with his best friend, Butch Keenan. His other interests included woodworking, NASCAR, College Football, and, most recently, golf. He also loved tinkering with old, broken-down lawnmowers.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Martha “Marty”; his children, Dennis Jr (Christy) and Angela Adcock (Richard); step-children, Melinda “Mindy” and James “Butchie” Bowling (Tracy); grandchildren, Tyler and Alyssa Epps; step-grandchildren, Danielle, Bradleigh, and Violet Mae Bowling, and William Steele Jr; and his sister, Susan Walker (Cliff).

Dennis is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Otto C Ford Sr, and Granny Pat; maternal grandparents, Charles M. Hanvey Sr., and Jane Britten Hanvey of Varina; His parents, Otto C Ford Jr, and Hilda L. Hanvey Ford of Varina.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd at 1:00 pm, in the Washington Memorial Park Veterans Garden. 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA. 23150.
