Obituary - Dennis Calvin Johnson Sr.

Dennis Calvin Johnson, Sr., 75, of Henrico, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, July 4, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Johnson; brothers, W.T. Johnson, Bobby Johnson and Tommy Hobson.
Dennis served in the Navy during the Viet-Nam war. When he returned he went to work for the state of Virginia as a machinist.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Johnson; Daughter, Shana Adams (Tim); Son, Dennis Johnson, Jr. (Lindsay); grandchildren, Kylie, Nicole, Ethan, and Ciara; brother, Donnie Johnson (Wanda); and a large circle of extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm on Thursday, July 10 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will be held at 2pm, Friday, July 11. Entombment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at McGuires VA Hospital for their care.
