CLARY, Deborah "Debbie" Ann, 75, of Henrico, Va., passed away November 08, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Clary; parents, Paul and Joyce Donaghy; father-in-law Lewis Clary and mother-in-law, Alma Clary. She is survived by her son, Brian Clary (Sarah); grandchildren, Caden and Kailey; brothers, Frederick Donaghy (Tina), Jay Donaghy (Annette), Paul Donaghy (Roxanne); sister, Susan Donaghy; sister-in-law Lynne Ratcliff, brother-in-law, Scott Clary (Susan); and many nieces and nephews.
Debbie was very proud of the time she spent in her 37+ years as an elementary educator in the Henrico County Public School system. In that time, she made many life-long friends, impacted countless lives, and was an integral part of full day kindergarten being implemented in Henrico County. After her retirement from teaching, she enjoyed reading, spending time with friends and family, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, playing Bunco with her neighbors, supporting her sorority ADK, spending afternoons with her grandchildren, and enjoying time at her family's cottage at Gwynn's Island on the Chesapeake Bay.
There will be a private family memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in her name to Meals on Wheels, your local food bank, your local library, or her favorite charity Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. In honor of Debbie, raise a glass of your favorite wine and read, read, read!
