Dannielle Kathleen Clark, affectionately known as Katie, passed away suddenly on August 29, 2025, in Henrico, VA at the age of 49. She was born at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, in Portsmouth, VA on January 7, 1976.

Katie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Daniel Strong Clark. She is survived by her two children; daughter, Mackenzi Cameron Clark (15) and son, Hagen Daniel Clark (13), who were the lights of her life. Her legacy of infectious humor and mischievous spirit will live on in them.

She is also survived by her parents, Danny B. Cox and Susan Hodge Cox of Henrico, VA, who always showed unwavering love and support throughout her life.

She leaves behind her siblings; three brothers, Robert Shan Cox (Kelly) of Virginia Beach, VA, Patrick Monroe Cox (Tiffany) of Graham, TX, Quentin Michael Cox (Autumn) of Henrico, VA, and one sister, Rebekah Dawn Herrera (Victor) of North Chesterfield, VA; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Katie was a graduate of Cox High School in Virginia Beach, VA where she enjoyed playing field hockey, (where they were State Champions), and soccer. She went on later to earn her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

A celebration of Katie’s life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 8005 Atlee Road, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
