Obituary - Clyde Sylvester Taylor Sr.

Clyde Sylvester Taylor, Sr., 70, of Glen Allen, VA, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by his closest family.
Clyde was the proud owner of his lifelong business, C.S. Taylor Refuse Service, where he provided exceptional service to the community for 46 years. He also retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 30 years of dedicated service.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Hampton-Taylor; his children, LaToya Mason (Jermaine), Clyde S. Taylor II (Sheena), and Ciera Taylor; and Arica and Alexis Morris. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jermaine Mason II, Jermaine Mason III, Dazejah Mason, Caleigh Taylor, Kennedy Cannon, Tyson Taylor, and Isaiah Brower; and by his brothers, Mitchell Taylor, Jr. (Dyanne), Robert Taylor, Mitchell Bell (Carolyn), and Howard Taylor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Mitchell Taylor; his grandparents; his special aunt, Carrie Barrett; and his two beloved sisters, Morlon Mitchell and Carolyn Johnson.
All services will be held at Affinity Funeral Service Richmond Chapel, 2720 Enterprise Pkwy., Richmond, VA 23294. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. for viewing and visitation on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on Monday, November 24, 2025 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238.
